Description:
This prestigious professional body is looking to recruit a motivated Statistician with ideally a medical background to provide statistical support to a variety of teams and projects.
Duties include contributing to questionnaire and web design, creating SPSS databases, co-ordinating data checking and cleansing, writing papers for peer reviewed journals, producing reports for a wide range of target audiences.
Essential skills, qualifications and experience:
• Educated to at least degree level standard or equivalent
• Previous experience of applying statistics in a medical environment
• Experience of analysing large data sets and presenting findings to a variety of audiences
• Experience of writing papers for publication in journals
• Experience of using SPSS software
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organisation skills
Salary and benefits:
• Salary: c£40,000 per annum
• 12 Months fixed-term contract
• 35 hours per week
• 29 days annual holiday entitlement
